Mayo brings the compelling writing style he's developed in his fiction to some of the most intriguing tales of old New England. Apparently, he's lived in several states in our nation's northeast corner - he definitely seems to know the people and places. This is rich stuff. I felt like I was learning a lot, but at the same time I couldn't put it down.
