Mobil Travel Guide 2008 Southern Great Lakes: Illinois - Indiana - Ohio (Forbes Travel Guide Southern Great Lakes) ReviewThis is an example of how the internet and travel information sources directly from service providers have led to the degradation of this once venerable source of travel information. I would rate these guides as useless and will not in the future refer to them.In this particular case I was fairly well familiar with the area. As a resident of a Chicago suburb I could rate my personal experience with that given in the Guide. In one case, Northbrook, IL, the Guide rated a restaurant with which we are very familiar for a period of over 40 years, only one of two for the town, which is soon to close. Many other suburban towns with excellent facilities were totally ignored. The downstate Illinois listings were totally inadequate. The Chicago listings could be equalled or bettered by purchasing a current issue of Chicago magazine.
I was overcharged by Amazon for this purchase (a billing error ?).
