Five-Star Trails in the Adirondacks: A Guide to the Most Beautiful Hikes ReviewThis book made the difference between an OK vacation and a great vacation. The selection of the best hikes meant that we concentrated all our time on the best hikes in the area at the levels we were comfortable with . They have preselected and catalogued all the best areas to hike. They rated the hikes based on scenery, difficulty, children, and solitude The directions were easy to follow---and we wouldn't have found at least one of the best trailheads without their directions. The only caveat I have is that their idea of a "moderate to difficult" hike and mine is not the same----forget the moderate.
