Bonebeds: Genesis, Analysis, and Paleobiological Significance ReviewA brilliant book - of utility to anyone who is new to fieldwork palaeontology, is doing fieldwork, or is thinking about it. The volume is more a definitive textbook on the subject rather than a collection of palaeontology research papers. As such, you won't find researches on specific animals or sites. Instead, some choice examples are used to support the theory or ideas presented in each chapter. I reiterate to treat this book as a textbook on bonebeds. Many of the early chapters, especially Brinkman et al's chapter, are practical 'how to do' or 'how to study' guides. Also, This book probably appeals to a wider audience than what one may at first assume given the title, especially once it's pages have been skimmed through, and an appreciation of its possible wider uses gained. And it's cheap considering its value. It's not a book for beginners or for lay-people not considering applying the information contained in this book.My main concerns with it, however, are the quality of the paper, lack of dust jacket, and page size (a tad bit small).
