Larry Brown: A Writer's Life (Willie Morris Books in Memoir and Biography) ReviewI regret that I did not discover Larry Brown's work until 2001. I regret that he did not live longer to write more. Brown is without a doubt my favorite modern author. I don't "get" Faulkner, Raymond Carver doesn't "do it for me" NO writer draws me in like Larry Brown. His work is amazing. I am thankful for Jean Cash's excellent portrait of the man whose work I so admire. Aside from the "firefighter author" descriptions on his books' covers, I had no idea who he was.
