I'd seen many books try to cover Nevada and its complex fishing waters, but I will say I was pleasantly surprised with Jan's coverage of the Silver State! Many people wouldn't think the driest state in the nation has premier angling water. As a native Nevadan, I and my fellow other Nevadans know better. The author uses specific details in terms of fly patterns, directions and access to waters. My favorite part of this book: he covers waters ALL OVER Nevada... not just one specific area as many books have done. This book covers most of Nevada's most popular waters all over the state, everything from the remote Ruby Lake NWR, Steptoe Creek and Cave Lake in eastern Nevada, to more of the more well-known waters like the Truckee River, Pyramid Lake and East Walker River.
