New England (Eyewitness Travel Guides) ReviewMy family and I just returned from a long trip to the East Coast, and this was one of the guide books which I found to be informative. It gives a great overview and detailed information on the best places of interest in New England. What I love about these Eyewitness Guides is the great number of full-color pictures of all the places of interest which are a feast for the eyes [most other travel guides do not have many pictures, much less full-color photographs]. Seeing these places in the book helped me [a very visual person] to decide on whether I wanted to visit certain places. There are maps aplenty, though small in size [but handy]. There are extensive reviews of restaurants, places on interest and also hotels, amongst others.
My one complaint is that the addresses for some the places of interest are not detailed for the GPS, i.e. missing zipcodes and such which made it harder for me to locate the exact address on my GPS [a situation remedied by a quick call to said location via the tel no helpfully provided in the guide]. Perhaps the publishers can look into this aspect for future publications. Other than that, this is a beautiful and handy travel guide to New England.New England (Eyewitness Travel Guides) Overview
